Library

Opening hours restriction

The following regulations apply to the library:

  • The library is open Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. only for borrowing and returning media by prior arrangement.
  • Please arrange a time slot of a maximum of 15 minutes for sole use in advance – by telephone T +49 228 9171–213 or by email (bibliothek@bundeskunsthalle.de). A longer stay in the library is not possible.
  • The time windows start every full and half hour.

  • Can't come or prefer to stay at home? All borrowed media are automatically renewed until 30 April 2021.

Protection and Hygiene Concept

for visiting the Bundeskunsthalle

The Bundeskunsthalle follows a special protection and hygiene concept in accordance with the requirements of the Corona Protection Ordinance of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. In particular, this means for your visit:

  • The number of visitors to the Bundeskunsthalle is severely limited
  • The duration of the exhibition is limited to 60 minutes
  • Obligation to wear a medical mask
  • Compliance with the minimum distance of 1.50 meters
  • Observance of the hygiene rules
  • Proof of a negative rapid corona test

Via bonnticket.de we offer all interested parties print@home tickets with time slots that allow them to go straight to the exhibition without stopping at the cash desk. The time slot tickets entitle you to admission on the date printed on the ticket. The length of stay in the exhibition is limited to 60 minutes.
We are obliged to ensure the traceability of all visits: Before visiting the exhibition, please provide the contact details of all visitors who appear with your tickets at www.anmeldung.nrw. The data collected will only be used in accordance with legal requirements and will be deleted again in a timely manner. All ArtCard holders can also go directly to the exhibition entrance.

Please follow these rules when visiting the library:

  • You are required to wear a medical mask during the entire stay in the library and the entire Bundeskunsthalle.
  • Before entering the library, please either wash your hands or disinfect them (a dispenser with disinfectant is available).
  • All visitors must register in a visitor book (the data will be destroyed after three weeks).

Due to changes in the COVID-19 infection rate, there is always the risk of an exhibition or event being canceled on short notice. Tickets for the exhibitions and events already purchased in advance can be returned to the advance booking offices where they were purchased.

For further questions please contact info@bundeskunsthalle.de.

Up-to-date information can be found here on our website and social media channels.

We wish you a pleasant stay.

All the best and stay healthy!
